Formed in Palmer, Mass. in 2009, The Blue Veins quickly gained a following in the local rock n’ roll/indie scene with their blend of vintage and modern rock sounds, and their ability to appeal to a wide range of musical tastes. Starting out as a cover band, they built up a large catalogue of material and became a hit in the Western Mass bar scene. With the addition of lead guitarist Jamieson Goodwin in 2010, they solidified their current lineup, which includes Jacob Watson on Guitar/Vocals, Bryan Forbes on Bass, and Matt Skowyra on Drums.
The Blue Veins released their self-titled debut album on 4.24.12, and have shifted primarily toward playing their original music. The record was recorded and mixed in their own studio, Underground Sound. The chemistry between this group of musicians shows most in their lively performances. At their high-energy shows, one thing is clear: Music is their true passion. Collectively they have nearly fifty years of playing experience, have been members of touring bands, teach music lessons, and have studied recording arts. The Blue Veins can be found at many area clubs, bars, and music halls, and are always open to playing new venues.
The Blue Veins are currently featured on Radio 104.1 FM Hartford, CT / 95.9 WATD South Shore, Boston / 411 Underground Radio / WBCR-lp FM of the Berkshires, and many more stations across the country.
