Mick Reed is a native New Englander whose music and lyrics are rooted in traditional Americana songs and storytelling. He blends elements of Country, Blues, Jazz, and Bluegrass to form original tunes with a timeless feel.

His first CD, “Courtney’s Farm” features an all-star cast of some of the most talented up-and-comers in traditional Jazz, Blues, and Country including a duet with the multi-platinum selling Jazz singer Madeleine Peyroux.

Mick regularly performs his music in New York and throughout New England, where he is a fixture on the roots circuit. His second album, “Goodnight, Texas”, was released in January 2011. Mick is also a member of the national treasure, The Easton Banjo Society, an old-time string band that has played at the White House.

In addition to his music, Mick produces and directs for television and film where he has earned many awards. He is also the director of the nonprofit organization Filmscool, that introduces children living in underserved areas to the world of filmmaking.
