Dead On is a New England based band. Founded by its current members in 2011, it remains the most important side project for all of its musicians involved. The band has played sporadically within the year during simultaneous breaks from Lobsterz From Marz and the Marks Brothers’ schedules.
Dead On’s musical taste may at first seem narrow as they regularly perform music of the Grateful Dead, but given the Grateful Dead’s famously varied styles of music, Dead On’s musical studies span vast genres. Although undeniably Rock music, the music is influenced by Blues, Folk, Country, and Jazz; but it is from their improvisational skills that one hears Dead On sound “dead on” to the specifics of the improvisational styles of the Grateful Dead.
For the first time, on September 1, 2012, Dead On will perform a special night of Jerry Garcia Band music at Theodore’s in Springfield, MA.
