THE EVENING’S MUSIC
Big Jon Short’s finger-picking and bottleneck slide work on National Guitar and Lowebow cigar-box accompany a soulful voice that taps into the heart of the Delta, Hill Country and East Coast Country Blues. Zack Slik brings an intensity in his authentic work on harmonica, banjo and mandolin, cultivating old tunes and adding his own arrangements. Together, the Short & Slik Duo take a traditional roots approach to good time, party music bringing Country Blues & Americana to modern day juke joints, speakeasies and dance halls.
