Who/What is your primary influence for The Balkun Brothers?

We are most influenced by the speed and power of Motorhead, Primus, Black Sabbath and Bad Brains mixed with the creativity and energy of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White and Fishbone. We are equally influenced by the crispy pizza of New Haven, Connecticut and the sweet crepes of Paris, France. We can equally credit John Bonham and Jimi Hendrix with a side of cannolis and grandma bread alongside our older brother Mark (he should be credited as our #1 influence).

When did you first start singing or playing? What instruments do you play?

We both started playing our respective instruments around age 14 or 15, whenever you would consider it actual playing music rather than just making awful noise in our basement.

Who is your favorite hero?

Our heroes include but are not limited to: LEMMY, LARRY BIRD, FRANK SINATRA, BOB MARLEY, FERDINAND MAGELLAN and everyone who loves to ROCK!
